Carli Bybel x BH Cosmetics Pallete

Product details:
Carli Bybel Palette - BH Cosmetics
Price: $12.50
Available on BH cosmetics

Review:
By now you will probably know that I am a sucker for a 'beauty guru'/youtuber so the idea of one of my favourites bringing out her very own make up palette sounded just like the sound of my bank card exiting my wallet.
So I went without haste to the BH Cosmetics site and purchased one, I was even happier when i discovered that it was free international delivery because most US sites charge an arm and two legs to ship to the UK and then you get left with a hefty customs bill on top of that.

The eyeshadow's and highlighters are the perfect shades for me as i love browns and golds, and they are more shimmery than glitter which is right down my alley.

The colour pay off for all are AMAZING, I have swatched the highlighters below and I only lightly touched then then swiped them onto my hand, so left some colour behind.

It has some really great touches like the quote 'Aspire to inspire' written inside just below the convenient mirror and the embossed flowers on each show/highlight. I can really tell that this was made with a passion for the product rather than thrown together.

NARS : Laguna Bronzer

Product details:
NARS Bronzing powder - Laguna
Price: £28-39
Available on ASOS

Review:
I am not a big fan of fake tanning or sunbeds, mostly because I just can't be bothered. So I am a very big bronzer user especially now I am attempting to learn to contour.. note I said 'attempting' because I do not yet have the Kim K/cheekbones chiseled by the gods look down yet.
I had heard a lot about this bronzer from friends and various youtubers so I invested in one.. and as you can see I am now on my second one as my first one is basically empty.

I was planning to swatch it but as I am somewhat brown already it's not the best to show the contrast between my skin and a bronzer. This is perfect if you are of a lighter skin tone that myself or brown looking for a subtle bronze which is how I use it and love it for.
The packaging is a bit annoying because it is a rubbery matte finish so can get dirty in your make up bag, but I can get over that because I adore the colour pay off.

ColourPop x Karrueche Tran

I'm A few months back I put in an order for some ColourPop matte lipsticks after the release of ItsMyRayeRaye's range with them and I fell in love.

Click here to read my review.

I shared my views of them with the people at work and put in a sizable order for everybody, as they don't ship to the UK we thought if we order through a third party together we can at least split the shipping costs.

For more information on shipping to the UK you can email me at: YellauxBusiness@gmail.com

I opted for the three Karrueche x KaePop colours: Kae, Rooch & Chi as well as some colours from their standard line: Lumiere-2 , Limbo , Clueless & Chilly Chili

These matte Lips are selling for $6 each

(l-r) Kae, Rooch, Chi, Lumiere 2, Limbo, Clueless, Chilly Chili

Colorpop : Ultra Matte Lip

Some of you may have heard of colourpop via various YouTube 'beauty gurus' or Instagram.
I recently managed to get some shipped over from the UK as they don't ship internationally themselves.

I opted for the colours: StingRAYE, Tule and Teeny tiny

Review:
I must say of ALL the liquid lipsticks I've tried thus far these ones are my favourite, I actually forget that I am wearing it until I pass a mirror or something. It stays put well after eating, talking and my bad habit of biting my lips all day.

Karueche Tran has released a collection with them I believe is out now, I've seen some swatches of the colours and they look amazing especially for women of colour.

Christian Louboutin Fifi 100mm..

I decided a year ago to get rid of most of my random/girly/cheap high heels and invest in key pieces that are going to compliment an outfit and hold more value.

I already have some black suede 'So Kate' in 120 mm and Patent black 'Pigalle' in 120 mm, I was really wanting to get myself some nude Loubs and maybe switch out my points for a round toe as I am kind of over the points.

So for Christmas this year I received some nude 'Fifi's in 100 mm, I honestly wanted to burst into tears because well somebody bought me Louboutin's, They were the ones I wanted and got my size right. What a ledge!

Product details:
Christian Louboutin Fifi 100mm - Patent nude
Price: £425 GBP

Review:
They are honestly so beautiful, I think I was expecting them to be Nuder (if that's a word) than they are which is not a bad thing as I am mixed raced the nude is closer to my skin tone than the regular nude tones. I have worn these out on a few occasions now, to night clubs for hours dancing the night away and to dinner.
I can honestly say they are one of my most comfortable pair of heels I have ever owned, I am 100% treating myself to them in black for my birthday.

If you do get these heels please beware of escalators, I got my heels of mine trapped in between the lines of the escalator the first time I wore them out, my heart hurt a little.

I have worn them a few times at the point these pictures were taken

Nike ID : Air Max 90 Solar Red

Over the last few years I have kind of steered away from going out clubbing due to many reasons. So I have been buying more trainers, daytime shoes and investing in key pieces.
I have wanted to get some custom trainers for a while because lets face it who doesn't want anything that's one of a kind.. exactly, nobody!

So I headed over to the NIKE ID website to create some magic..

Ordering:
The design process is very easy to use and the results update in real time for you to see. So you can have a look how things look in real time before you spend your hard earned cash on them and if your anything like me flick through and try and whittle your options down.

Delivery:
Delivery cost was free as my order was over £50 and it does take approx 30 days as they are custom made but the come properly packaged and they give you a tracking number so you can see the status of the trainer making process and then where there are in the world n relation to your home.

Product:
The colour I chose is called 'Solar Red' and I went for the Air max 90 Hyper fuse as they are a more streamline design from the original Air max 90 which I already have in all black. They were £120 with Free shipping, I think because I am only a size 4 they were abit cheaper than the adult sizes.
To be honest they are bright pink no matter which way or lighting you look at them, no matter how much I try to convince myself that they are 'solar red' they are bright pink in person. So the colour description is slightly misleading on this occasion and the real time picture looks red and they do in some lights when you order them.. see below.

Other than that the trainers are amazing, they came as designed online with my name printed onto the back.

I have done a few outfits to give you an idea of how I add a pop of colour to my outfits with my 'Red' trainers, I will do a look book soon for my rainbow coloured trainers.

I plan to order some actually red ones and possibly another colour or style soon, maybe a birthday treat to myself.

Yves Saint Laurent : Card Holder.

I had been trying to invest in some designer pieces, originally I was after a handbag but at the moment I am far to picky to chose. So I decided to go for small leather goods for now,
I opted for a YSL Card holder, in black leather with the black logo in quilted calfskin. I originally wanted the same finish but with the gold logo but it was constantly out of stock at my local Selfridges, so I went ahead and ordered the all black one online to click and collect at Selfridges in Birmingham.

Item No: TBC
Price: £160 + free postage
Finish details: 11 x 8 cm
Quilted calfskin front and back panel
5 credit card slots
Black varnished metal logo on front flap

Review:
I've had the card holder for over a year now and it still looks as beautiful as when I bought it. I only use it on evenings out and at the weekend as I have a big purse for work and weekdays which has all of my change, loyalty cards and other crap I don't need.
I don't use the front pockets of the holder as I like it to look neat. So the back is enough for me as I usually only take out my credit card and drivers licence. On the rare occasion I do have cash on me I use the middle section to keep one or two notes.

If I have a lot of items in my bag I keep it in the dust bag provided with it just to protect the leather from being scratched by my keys

Duty Free Haul : Amsterdam March 2016

During my trip to Amsterdam in March I picked up a few things at Duty free in both Birmingham and Amsterdam Airports. I didn't manage to take any pictures of the duty free departments because lets face it MAC makes ladies lose all inhibitions lol.

I thought I would give you and Idea of what I purchased and what I wish I had bought. So At Birmingham Airport I picked up:-
  • MAC 'Antiqued Velvet' Lipstick : £13.15
  • MAC 'Boldly Bare' lip liner : £10
  • A Juicy couture perfume and cream travel set : £19

At Amsterdam Shipol airport I picked up:
  • MAC 'Need to be lover' lip liner : €13.20
  • MAC 'Purple' lip liner : €13.20
  • MAC 'Oak' lip liner : €13.20

Only to get home and realise that I already have two of the liners, I really need to keep an inventory or develop a better memory lol.

I wanted to pick up the matte liquid lips but totally forgot at both airports as I was wading through the lip liners to find the colours I wanted. I did have a look in the Victoria's secret but as we only had hand luggage with us we were not able to bring anything over 100 ml of liquid which counted most things out. So I will have to wait until I go for a flight with hold luggage to do a bigger shop.

Amsterdam : Travel Diary.

So we decided to take another little trip within Europe as its pretty cheap for a decent hotel and a short flight. We went for three days and two nights in March and it cost us around £220 each via LastMinute.com.

Our flight was fine took less than an hour to get there so we had some time to take photos with the infamous iamsterdam sign which you can find 1 of 2 outside the station (the other being next to the Van Gogh museum)

That's me in my bright trainers below :)

We stayed in this beautiful hotel called Dutch design Artemis which is outside of the main part of Amsterdam square as we didn't want to stay near the centre, we wanted something good quality and quiet but still able to access the city centre if need be.

It took about 20 minutes on the tram to get to the centre and the line went through alot of the places we wanted to visit so we just got of as and when we went by things.

(picture above courtesy of toptegelzetters)

The hotel was very nice, when we arrived the staff we so pleasant they had watermelon infused water in reception if you fancied a drink and a supply of push bikes and motor scooters to hire.
The staff seemed to speak a range of languages and spoke good English and didn't make you feel uncomfortable for not being able to speak dutch.

The reception was clean and had a good selection of furniture and art around that catches your eye as soon as you walk in. They have a selection of huge sofas to relax on while you wait for one person to check your party in.

The room was nice had a small fridge, three chairs, two small double beds, a good supply of tea and coffee facilities, iron and board, some sanitary items like shampoo and body wash. A few other bonuses were an ice machine in the main hallway, free wifi and computer access and the light up mirror in the bathroom (great for a good selfie).

On our second night we didn't really want to venture out to eat and spend all night walking around trying to make a mutual decision. So we ate in the hotel restaurant there is something for everything sandwiches, soups, salads and some more finer types of dining which to be honest I have no idea what they were. We opted for the 'Polderburger' basically a bacon cheese burger with a cone of chips and a little side salad, this burger was amazing I regret not taking a picture of it it was so nice.

When we first arrived we could not figure out which ticket to buy for love nor money, it kept coming up at 94 per day which obviously was not right. So I downloaded an app 'GVB' comes up if you type in 'Amsterdam tram' in the app store i'll put a link to it below.

(GVB app fpr apple)

The best way we found to get around was to get a 24 hour tram pass for 7.50 or a 48 hour one for 12.50 and the great think is it starts from your first check in for the full 24 hours so for example we bought ours at about midday and it lasted until mid day the next day then we didn't buy the next one until 6pm and that lasted us 48 hours until 6pm on our last day. It works in the same way as the Oyster card we have in London you check in and out during your journey by touching it on a pad.

I believe they do offer pass from 1-7 days, so you just hold on to the same pass for your entire stay and you haven't got to hunt down machines etc. Which is always handy when you don't know where the heck you are going.

We popped into Madame Tussaud's which is in the main part of 'dam square', I won't spoil it for anybody wishing to visit but I enjoyed myself they had a few of the wax works that you are able to interact with and get some good pictures and even video clips which you can download to your phone.

We did want to go to the Ice bar but when we went they told us that they were full until 12pm so if you are visiting it may be worth booking in advance, maybe next time for me.

Down the streets that were for shopping rather than 'Cafes' there was more than a handful of Trainer shops and some of my favorite shops such as Zara, Foot Locker, Ton's of H&Ms and some other clothes shops that sell a mixture of designer and other clothes. I was quite surprised at actually how many decent shops there was.

On two occasions we visited one of the infamous 'Ice bakery by Nutella's which had massive tubs of Nutella in the window and offer Churros, macrons, cookies, waffles, doughnuts.. basically everything that your not supposed to eat all in one shop with a topping of Nutella for good measure. I loved every minute of it

A lot of the shops have dangerous food in as in dangerous for your waistline, so on the last day I had to go back for one of these hot dogs I had seem earlier in the trip it was basically a hot dog and pizza baby... no, honestly! (see the picture below) and I did not regret a single moment or bite of it. I opted for the 'Chicken bacon hot dog' just incase you want to experience what I did lol.

I always seem to find my way to a Starbucks and or Wagamamas, no matter where I go in the world. I have no shame in the fact i go abroad and eat the same as I do at home sometimes lol.
